Galco Miami Classic Review

The Miami Classic and, by extension, Miami Classic 2 set the standard for shoulder holsters and still continue to be the best option on the market for shoulder rigs. It’s extremely comfortable, and the key to its success is the spider harness in the rear. This allows you to move with ease and allows the shoulder holster to flow with you and never feel restrictive.

The light and small nature of the P365 makes it a comfy shoulder carry option. The two work well together, and it makes hiding your P365 a breeze as long as you have a light jacket, overshirt, or coat to conceal it. Galco’s Miami Classic comes with a dual magazine pouch that makes it easy to carry two spare mags on your side and better balance your gun in the shoulder holster.

The classic leather design fits softly against the body and makes it comfy for long-term carry. It also allows you to carry with modern red dot optics. I carry mine in a Miami Classic with a Holosun EPS, and it fits perfectly without issue. Galco also produces many attachments that allow for greater modularity, and you can attach various types of mag pouches, a cuff pouch, or even a giant knife attachment.

This might seem silly, but that modularity can be handy and nice to have, depending on your use case. With a little training, you can become quick with a shoulder rig, but it’s never going to be as fast as a more modern carry method. However, shoulder carry is tough to beat when forced to a seated position, like a road trip.

Galco Miami Classic Pros and Cons

  • Comfortable
  • Modular
  • Easy to Carry
  • Comes with Mag Pouches
  • Expensive
  • Slower Draw

Tulster Contour Specs

  • Type OWB
  • Material Polymer
  • Optics Compatibility Yes
  • Retention Passive Adjustable

Tulster Contour Review

If OWB carry is your thing, then the P365 is a fantastic option. It’s small, thin, and with the right holster, it won’t print much at all. The right holster is the Tulster Contour. As the name implies, the holster contours around your body and hugs it tight for increased concealment and plenty of comfort. The Contour works with the standard P365, the P365X, and P365 SAS with or without the thumb safety.

It’s made entirely from polymer and comes with an adjustable retention system. A small tag is adjusted vertically to increase or decrease retention and locks the retention setting in place. Grab it, draw it, and go! The polymer design is molded expertly to the frame of the gun and fits it perfectly. Tulster takes a modern stance, and this ensures the Contour is optic’s ready.

The Contour is cut precisely for a clean and easy draw. A noticeable trigger guard undercut ensures you can establish an excellent grip on the gun for a good draw and an even better presentation. The cant and ride height can also be adjusted rather easily for a better fit and for better concealment for the individual user.

I’m still a big fan of carry OWB to this day. It’s extremely comfortable and often fairly rapid and easy to draw. As a big guy, it’s often the easiest method for me to carry comfortably. I also feel confident with my draw when it comes to OWB. That’s what keeps me coming back to the Tulster Contour.

Like most OWB designs, it won’t conceal as well as an IWB design. Smaller folks are especially compromised when it comes to OWB designs. The Contour itself can’t overcome these issues fully, but it helps minimize them extensively.

Tulster Contour Pros and Cons

  • Comfortable
  • Modern and Modular
  • Excellent Cut For a Quick Draw
  • Can’t overcome the downsides of OWB

PHLster Pro Specs

  • Type IWB
  • Material Polymer
  • Optics Compatibility Yes

PHLster Pro Review

The Phlster Pro does two things that impress me. One, it maximizes concealment. Second, it finds a way to make AIWB comfortable. I’m one of those guys that could never seem to find a comfy AIWB option for concealed carry. The Phlster Pro series is one of Phlster’s best. They offer excellent concealment and a versatile design. The holster uses the proven concept that a longer holster is actually easier to conceal than one that’s just the length of your gun.

It prevents the gun from tipping, which can be uncomfortable, and tipping can make the grip print a bit. The wider muzzle design helps eliminate pressure points and spreads the weight over a bigger area for increased comfort. It’s also fitted with a wing for better concealment.

You can choose to wear this holster strong-side. However, it is optimized for an appendix carry position. If you want strong-side IWB holster options, something like the Phlster Sekelton might be a bit better of a choice. They also designed the Phlster Pro with the idea of modern guns in mind. The open bottom allows for comps and threaded barrels, and they cut the top for a red dot.

Users can swap the Phlster Pro for right or left-handed use. It’s also very modular and easy to adjust the can and height, as well as swap clips, loops, and other mounting hardware. I tend to up the height and add negative cant to my appendix rigs.

The Phlster Pro makes it very easy to adjust the gun for your needs and concealment design. The only downside is that the longer, wider design might print when wearing tighter-fitting pants. It’s not the best holster for skinny jeans or leggings.

PHLster Pro – Pros and Cons

  • Concealed Extremely Well
  • Quite comfortable
  • Cut for Modern Guns
  • Modular
  • Doesn’t conceal well with tight pants

Harry’s Holsters Shorty Review

Harry’s Holsters makes some crazy nice holsters with some innovative and interesting design features. The Shorty is a fairly simple holster that has more than meets the eye. The Shorty features a built-in wing, not an attached design. This pushes the gun’s grip closer to your body and makes the gun easier to conceal. As a built-in design, it’s one less screw or piece you have to worry about coming loose or breaking.

Harry Holsters has aimed their holsters at the modern user, and the Shorty is optic’s optic-ready, so toss that dot on!! At this point, holsters should be like guns and allow for an optic’s optic-ready design. The Shorty’s clip can be easily adjusted. You can adjust the ride height up to ¾ of an inch, and you can also adjust it 30 degrees. Again, modern holsters shouldn’t have fixed anything.

Harry’s Holsters uses metal clips that attach to both a belt and to just a stronger waistband. When I say stronger waistband, I mean it won’t work with sweatpants, but will work with most jeans. Jeggings users will be left out. The Shorty also pops on and off your pants easily, which is quite nice. I hate having to undo my belt to remove my holster. Call me lazy, but it’s the truth.

In terms of comfort, the Shorty shines. The folks at Harry’s Holsters trim every corner to ensure a greater comfort. I’ve had great holsters that always have that little spot that pokes and prods, which often ruins it for me. That’s not a problem with the Shorty. The downsides? Well, people aren’t going to like the price, but the quality costs.

Harry’s Holsters Shorty Pros and Cons

  • Comfortable
  • Adjustable
  • Easy On/Easy Off
  • Optics Ready
  • Expensive

Blackhawk L2C Specs

  • Type OWB
  • Material Polymer
  • Optics Compatibility Yes
  • Retention Active

Blackhawk L2C Review

I like to adventure. I ride ATVs, ride bikes across rough terrain, and occasionally kayak. During those events, I also like to keep a gun on me. You never know what you’ll encounter in the great outdoors. With that in mind, the Blackhawk L2C offers a minimalist OWB rig with an active retention device. In all the bumps, jumps, and excitement, it could be easy to lose a gun on the trial, buts that’s not a problem with the L2C.

The L2C offers a level two retention system. That means you have to press a manual release to draw the gun. A bump or fall isn’t going to cause the gun to spill out of the holster. The retention device is genius. When you grip the gun, your thumb aligns perfectly with the retention device. You can defeat the L2C’s thumb lever naturally when you grip the gun. This makes it easy to draw but ensures it’s completely secure.

The Blackhawk L2C uses the older SERPA style footprint without the SERPA problems. This means you can use various attachment methods, from belt attachments to paddles and beyond. You can even go over with drop-leg rigs and even a shoulder rig! It’s very modular in its attachment methods. I stick to the belt option for simplicity, but the options are good.

The L2C works fine with optics and has an open bottom to accommodate threaded barrels and some minimalist comps, but nothing huge. The L2C will fit the P365, P365Xl, the SAS, and seemingly most models, but likely not the Macro series. Heck, it actually also fits the G43X and G48.

The downside comes down to concealment. This is a bit of a bulky holster that doesn’t stick to your body. It’s not held tight and will print. I keep it just for adventure, where I’m unlikely to be around lots of people, and I’m wearing baggier clothes anyway. It’s not a great everyday carry (EDC) concealment holster, but it certainly has its place.

Blackhawk L2C Pros and Cons

  • Level 2 Active Retention
  • Uses older SERPA footprint for attachment
  • Natural thumb activated retention
  • sticks off body more than other holsters

Raven Concealment Perun Specs

  • Type OWB
  • Material Polymer
  • Optics Compatibility Yes
  • Retention Passive

Raven Concealment Perun Review

Raven Concealment makes awesome rigs for concealed carry, and they are evenly spread amongst some government agencies that require a low-profile option. The Perun is an OWB design, which is somewhat rare for a company with such an intense focus on concealment. However, they make an excellent OWB design. To create the rig, they mixed one of my favorites, the Eidolon, with the Phantom.

The Perun innovates as one of the unique OWB options that is reversible and can be used for left or right-handed use. They designed the Perun with a full-length sweat guard on both sides for extreme comfort. Additionally, it protects both the gun and your shirt, jacket, or whatever from the gun. It also provides additional protection and keeps foreign objects like that shirt or jacket from getting into the holster.

Raven Concealment also designs the holster to allow users to adjust the cant. Adjusting cant isn’t as easy as sliding the belt loop up and down, but you swap belt loops, but Raven Concealment includes three options.

Changing cant allows for greater concealment and an easier draw based on your capabilities. The Perun offers adjustable passive retention, and it’s a slider that won’t slide or loosen over time or fail.

It’s 2023, so the Perun accommodates optics and has a slightly open bottom to accommodate threaded barrels. They cut a channel to accommodate suppressor height sights. Raven Concealment offers light-bearing models as well. The holster uses a body-hugging pancake-style design, making the gun very easy to conceal under nothing more than a shirt. It’s quite easily concealed. In guns like the P365, it absolutely disappears due to the gun’s small size and inherent thinness.

Raven Concealment Perun Pros and Cons

  • Easy concealing OWB holster
  • Comfortable
  • Designed for Modern Accessories
  • Cant adjustments require different belt loops

Crossbreed Rogue Specs

  • Type IWB
  • Material Polymer
  • Optics Compatibility Yes
  • Retention Passive

Crossbreed Rogue Review

Crossbreed is known for hybrid holsters. I mean, the name Crossbreed signifies a blend of leather and kydex. The Rogue, which is aptly named, takes a different route. The Rogue uses an all-polymer design that’s very modern, and Crossbreed ensures the Rogue is also quite comfortable.

The Crossbreed Rogue system comes in a few different configurations. This includes strong-side IWB and AIWB. You can add a sidecar-style magazine holster to pack a spare mag. You can modify the Rogue and place clips and loops where you want them, and adjust the height on command. The rig comes with a wing to enhance concealment.

The Rogue looks too big at first, but in reality, it’s fairly flat and comfortable. It doesn’t have any pokey or parody section to cause pain or disruption to your carrying routine. The Rogue carries very well in either position, and the flexible leather connector between the magazine pouch and the holster is to die for. That extra flexibility really helps with comfort and access to the magazine.

A set of metal clips rounds it all off, and the holster becomes a very capable and comfortable option. It’s made for the most popular guns, but not all just yet. It’s optics compatible, and in an odd move for Crossbreed, there don’t seem to be any light-ready options.

Crossbreed Rogue Pros and Cons

  • Comfortable
  • Modular
  • Conceals Well
  • Limited Production Options

Best P365 Holster – Buyer’s Guide

Choosing the right holster for your SIG P365 is all about balancing comfort, accessibility, and concealment. Let me break down the key things you’ll want to consider.

Factors To Consider When Buying a P365 Holster

Carry Style: First off, think about how you plan to carry your P365. Inside-the-waistband (IWB) holsters are the go-to for concealed carry, keeping your gun close and out of sight. If you prefer something more comfortable for long periods, an outside-the-waistband (OWB) holster might be a better fit, though it’s harder to conceal. There are also shoulder holsters, which work well if you’re seated for long stretches or driving, but you’ll need a jacket to cover them.

Material: The material matters for both comfort and durability. Leather holsters have that classic feel and mold to your body over time but might need more care. On the other hand, polymer holsters are tough, lightweight, and low maintenance but can be a bit stiff. Hybrid holsters give you a mix of both: leather for comfort and polymer for a solid fit.

Retention: Retention is how your holster keeps the gun secure. Active retention holsters have locks or straps, giving you more security but adding a small delay to your draw. Passive retention relies on friction, making for a faster draw but with a bit less security. The choice here depends on how quick you want to access your P365 versus how secure you want it to feel.

Optics Compatibility: If your P365 is rocking a red dot or optic, make sure the holster can accommodate it. Optics-ready holsters are more common now, but always double-check. A bad fit can not only make it hard to draw but can also mess up your sight.

Adjustability: Some holsters let you fine-tune the fit. You can adjust the retention so the gun is held as tight or loose as you like. Many also allow you to tweak the cant (the angle of the holster) and the ride height, which can help make drawing smoother and more comfortable.

Concealment: When carrying concealed, keeping your gun hidden is key. IWB holsters usually offer the best concealment, especially under looser shirts, while OWB holsters might print more. Think about your usual outfits and body shape when picking a holster that won’t give away your carry.

Comfort: Comfort is a big deal if you’re carrying all day. A holster that digs into your skin or moves around too much will get old fast. Look for holsters designed with comfort in mind—some offer padding or breathable materials. Being able to adjust things like ride height also helps keep everything feeling right.

Durability: You want a holster that’ll last. Polymer holsters are tough and can take a beating without losing their shape. Leather holds up too but needs a bit more care. Either way, make sure the holster can handle regular use and keep working as intended.

Price: Price is important, but don’t just grab the cheapest holster you can find. A mid-range option from a reputable brand will typically give you better quality, durability, and features. You don’t need to spend a fortune, but investing in a good holster is worth it.

Keep It Secured

The Sig Sauer P365 goes beyond a single gun. It’s a family of firearms at this point. However, they are all easy to carry, easy to conceal, and crazy efficient in terms of ammunition and magazine design. SIG created an entire genre of concealed-carry firearms and we have done reviews on many of them here:

The industry and gun-buying public responded quite positively, and we have tons and tons of holster options out there. Some good, some okay, some terrible. We’ve gathered what we think are the absolute best, and hopefully, we’ve narrowed your search down.

Best P365 Holster – FAQs

Can belt clips hold a P365 holster securely for daily carry?

Yes, belt clips can securely hold a P365 holster, especially if they’re made from durable materials like metal or high-quality polymer. Ensure the belt clip is properly installed and compatible with your belt for the best stability.

Are leather holsters better for comfort when carrying a P365?

Leather holsters are often more comfortable for carrying a P365, especially over long periods or while seated. They mold to your body, providing a snug fit. However, they may need more maintenance and might not offer as much retention as polymer options.

What is the best carry style for a P365 holster?

For deep concealment, inside-the-waistband (IWB) holsters are best. Outside-the-waistband (OWB) holsters offer comfort for extended wear but are harder to conceal. Shoulder holsters are good for those who sit or drive a lot, though they require a cover garment.

How do I adjust the fit and retention of my P365 holster?

Most holsters have adjustable features for fit and retention. Look for screws or tabs to change how snugly the P365 fits. Follow the holster’s instructions for making adjustments to balance security and accessibility.
