Streamlight TLR-1 HL Review

The Streamlight brand launched in 1973 as a flashlight manufacturer right out of Pennsylvania. We love an USA based company!

One of the reasons I love Streamlight is that the people behind the brand are just like you and me. Some of us are hobbyists, some of us have roots in the military and others live and breathe the sport. Streamlight are renowned for getting to know their customers and are proud hunters, fishermen, outdoors and sport enthusiasts.

Straight up, the TLR 1 has a wider beam giving you greater field of vision when you need it the most. The light spill is so much so that you’re never going to be taken by surprise and let me tell you – it’s bright!

I don’t try to make a habit of treating my pistol lights poorly but we all know they can get worked hard. The TLR 1 is durable, dust-proof and shock-proof so you don’t have to worry about the conditions you’re taking it into. It can also withstand 30 minutes submerged in meter deep water – although I’m not going swimming with it, it’s the peace of mind to know that if it starts to rain, I’m still good to go.

Streamlight have a lifetime warranty on their products and claim they should be free of defects on all their gear – including their LED based products. This is something I’m always considering when buying hear, and it’s great for anyone else looking to make a confident buying decision on a budget.

It’s easy to install, easy to use and is truly the best for the budget-conscious buyer.
