Best P365 Upgrades: Improve your CCW
The SIG P365 stunned the world in 2018 when it premiered. I remember reading the press release, busting out a ruler, and trying to visualize the size. How did they fit ten rounds into something that would normally hold six or maybe seven rounds? Ever since then, it’s been my go-to pistol for concealed carry for most days. The P365 has been a huge success, complete Sig P365 Review here, and with any firearms success, an aftermarket pops up and succeeds. But not all P365 upgrades are equal.
With a market full of upgrades, which ones are worth the cost of admission? We’ve gathered a number of upgrades to help you take your P365 to the next level? Let’s be clear. We focused on upgrades that help enhance how the gun handles in defensive situations. There are plenty of upgrades that enhance the gun’s looks and some that claim to enhance the gun’s capability but might be lackluster.

Holosun EPS Carry Review
Holosun’s EPS Carry optic is the smallest enclosed emitter design I’m currently aware of outside the Deltapoint Micro, which isn’t made for the P365. The EPS Carry fits the standard Shield RMSc footprint and doesn’t require any special adapters or plates. The direct attach method is always the more desirable option.
An enclosed emitter optic ensures the total reliability of your optic. This ensures dirt, water, snow, and whatever else can’t get between your emitter and your lens. For some, this isn’t a concern, but as someone who lives in rain-soaked Florida, I like the extra security it offers.
The Holosun EPS Carry comes in a few different configurations. This includes models with the multi-reticle system and solar pane. You can also choose from the slightly more affordable standard models with a 6 or 2 MOA dot. While I’m partial to the simple 6 MOA model, I can understand the desire for MRS and solar backup. Either one will suit most needs.
Like all Holosun optics, we get Shake Awake, battery-saving technology, as well as big, easy-to-push buttons, a pretty clear set of windows, and a great reticle. It’s certainly the best optic for the P365 at this juncture. I’ve used mine for almost six months, and if you’ve never shot with a red dot on a handgun, this is the way to start. Hitting targets at 50 yards is oh so satisfying and possible with this weapon.
The EPS Carry won’t break the bank either, but let’s not pretend any quality red dot is cheap. However, compared to similar models, it’s a bargain. If you had to make one upgrade to your P365, this is the one I’d make. It will deliver you the most performance per dollar. The big downside is that OG P365 owners won’t have an optics cut and will need to have their slide cut or purchase a new slide, which means even more money invested.

Wilson Combat Grip Module Review
The stock P365 grip module is pretty okay, and I don’t have any major complaints. I mostly used the standard grip module for years, but after five years of heavy P365 use, I noticed the grip texture had gotten smooth, and I cracked a small portion at the bottom of the frame.
When I saw the Wilson Combat Grip for sale at a fairly low price for anything marked Wilson, I snatched it up. Wilson Combat is a custom gun shop mostly known for its 1911s, but they’ve dived into the world of polymer frame striker-fired guns. One of the big benefits of the P365 is its removable FCU, which allows you to swap frames with ease and without having to order a new frame to an FFL.
The Wilson Combat Grip Module features the Starburst grip texture. This good-looking texture is much more aggressive than the stock grip texture. That’s great for a good grip, but it can rub a bit when carried. The Wilson Combat grip module uses a more aggressive overhang that allows and downright encourages a higher grip but helps with recoil control. You can even add a tungsten weight kit, the P365 grip module, which helps reduce recoil by increasing weight.
The grip module has no problems with P365-based lights, magazines, or baseplates. It has the same dimensions where it matters and will accommodate all P365 accessories, including holsters. This was a big deal to me. The module is slightly wider at the grip portion, not significantly so, but a bit more rounded, which also helps improve comfort while shooting.

Icarus A.C.E. P365 Grip Module Review
The Wilson Combat Grip module represents an inexpensive, affordable alternative to the standard P365 grip module. I will tell you off the bat that Icarus is not the most affordable option. It is, however, one of the coolest, if not the coolest, grip modules available for the P365. A.C.E. stands for Accuracy, Control, Enhanced, which doesn’t tell much of the story. The A.C.E series are metal frame grip modules that are as Gucci as they get.
These things are chronically sold out, so I suggest signing up for alerts if you want one. This aluminum grip design weighs about twice as much as the standard OEM module. More weight equals less recoil, but it also equals more weight, so consider that. The design gives you a very M1911-like extended beavertail combined with the Icarus Elite grip texture and a trigger guard undercut for a very secure grip.
There are several A.C.E. grip types to fit the various grip sizes of the P365. This includes standard XL and Macro options. There are also options with longer beavertails if you don’t mind a longer gun. One big change Icarus makes is getting rid of the P365 rail for a standard Picatinny rail. This makes mounting lights, lasers, and the like easier but also makes the front of the gun wider. It’s a trade-off you’ll have to make.
It’s an interesting choice shooters will have to make. Should you make a gun designed to be small and concealable, bigger, and heavier for improved performance? That’s a decision only you can make. I think these grip modules are awesome, and I still use my early-generation Icarus grip when I’m feeling froggy.

SIG Foxtrot365XR Review
The popularity of the P365 ensured that there would be a hearty aftermarket for the gun. This includes options for the proprietary rail. Even if the aftermarket didn’t respond, SIG would. SIG has produced a few lights for the P365, but their latest, the Foxtrot365XR, is easily the best P365 light on the market. It’s crazy how small and light this powerhouse can be. The SIG Foxtrot365XR takes it to a new level.
As much as I hate typing Foxtrot365XR, I can’t help but love the power it provides. Most super-small lights are not very powerful. Yet, the SIG light packs 550 lumens that’s backed by 17,000 candela. I’m an amateur light nerd, but I know enough to be impressed by those numbers. The lumen count is pretty average overall and competitive with lights like the TLR 7 SUB, but the candela blows things away.
Lumens are what take all that candela and push it outward. Lumens mean nothing without candela, and the higher the candela, the more range you have with your light. Higher candela helps you punch through photonic barriers like fog, rain, and even other sources of light. The 17,000 lumens the Foxtrot365XR packs allow you to extend the range you can identify a threat with.
If your P365 doubles as your home defense weapon, then a light might be a very effective portion of your defensive loadout. This light uses a button positioned under the trigger guard to activate so it can easily activate as soon as the weapon is gripped and thrown into action. This might be a downside to some who might want to activate the light more discreetly.
The Foxtrot365XR is also a very lightweight light and works with the XL and standard P365 models in a drama-free manner. If you want a light for your P365, this is the one to get.

MagGuts Review
MagGuts is a fairly clever name because not only is it a play on words, but it’s an apt description of what MagGuts do. These are magazine guts, primarily a spring and follower that uses your P365 magazine body. They use a special magazine spring that allows you to increase the capacity of your magazines by about two rounds each. If you toss the magazine spring and follower in a 10-round magazine, you get 12 rounds. The same goes for turning a 12-round magazine into a 14-round magazine and turning a 15-round magazine into a 17-round magazine.
MagGuts are super easy to use and install. Of course I had reliability concerns, but I’ve been using them in my daily carry gun for two years now. I find the 12-round conversion to 14 rounds is the best bang for my money. I also have the 10 to 12-round MagGuts, and they’ve held up very well.
MagGuts has proven to be one of the best add-ons I’ve made to my P-365 magazines. It’s a clever way to add a few extra rounds without breaking the bank. The whole point of the P365 was maximum ammo capacity in the smallest design size, and the MagGuts enhanced that feature.

Xtech Tactical MTX +3 Basepad Specs
Xtech Tactical MTX +3 Basepad Review
If you want an even cheaper way to expand your capacity, then XTech Tactical has you covered. They produce a simple magazine base pad that extends your grip and offers you an additional three rounds. These base pads are very simple to use and a re reliable and easy way to get extra ammo in your magazine. They add size, which can be a downside to some. I have big hands, so I don’t mind the extra length.
For me, the MTX +3 Basepad is the perfect addition to one of the ten-round magazines that comes with your P365. If you carry a spare magazine, you might as well pack on a few extra rounds. It’s also great for the range where concealment might not be a concern, but comfort will be. If you’re training hard, then a little extra grip goes a long way.

Phlster Pro Review
When I want a high-quality holster that’s easy to use, conceals well, and offers excellent security, I turn to Phlster. Phlster is run by a husband and wife team who are concealment experts and constantly work to reinforce the craft of concealment. Their holsters tend to be innovative and intuitive and really stress the basics of being a good holster. They offer excellent retention, safety, and security, as well as a quick draw.
The Phlster Pro series is designed for IWB/AIWB carry with all the bells and whistles of a modern holster. The Phlster Pro series can utilize a variety of belt attachment systems. This includes DCC monoblocks, loops, and the DCC Mod4 clips. These are all secure and stable, which is a necessity for concealed carry. The holster comes with the Modwing for increased concealment, and it’s compatible with the Phlster wedge kit.
The Pro series is fully ambidextrous and allows the user to make slight adjustments for cant and ride height. The shape of the holster utilizes a little extra length for better concealment. It’s also designed with a bit of a rounded bottom to reduce pressure and help tuck the gun closer to the body.
Phlster is my number one choice for holsters. The Pro accommodates most modern features, including a red dot, threaded barrel, and suppressor height sights. If I had a complaint, it would be price, but I really hate to complain about spending money on a good holster. It’s worth every penny.

Werkz Origin Holster Review
Normally, I’d only do one holster, but I wanted to offer an OWB option alongside the AIWB option. Not only that, but I wanted to provide a holster that can accommodate some of the gear on this list. The Werkz Origin is my go-to OWB option for my P365. Werkz makes it for a ton of lights, and it will accommodate the Icarus Grip Modules. Beyond that, feel free to add your own red dot as it fits, too.
This is a concealment OWB rig, but it’s not for everyone. If you don’t mind wearing that slightly baggy shirt, then it’ll work for you. The holster pancakes tight to the body to eliminate as much bulk as an OWB rig can. It still allows for enough grip to sit away from the body for an easy draw. The holster is quite comfy, and while it doesn’t conceal as well as the Pro, it can still disappear on most people.
The Werks Origin Holster Is perfect when combined with my P365XL with Holsoun EPS, Wilson Combat Frame, and SIG Foxtro365XR. Most holster companies seem to draw lines at what lights and accessories they accommodate. Werkz seems hell-bent on breaking those lines.

Gray Guns P365 Adjustable Trigger Review
Last but not least, I’m not the biggest believer in triggers making a giant difference in what a gun does. It’s really more on the shooter and their grip. That being said, a nice trigger is still a nice trigger. While plenty of nice triggers exist for the P365, the Gray Guns is the one I always come back to. Not just because it’s a straight trigger, but because of the adjustability it offers.
The Gray Gun trigger allows for adjustment to eliminate over-travel. This cleans up the trigger pull and release. It doesn’t reduce the trigger pull weight or give you a short reset. What it does is it makes the trigger more consistent and more enjoyable. It breaks at 90 degrees and offers a nice flat trigger that increases the width. This gives you more finger placement, and more finger placement gives you more control.
This isn’t a cheap upgrade, but if you insist on upgrading the trigger, this is the way to go.
The Ever Lasting P365
The SIG P365 series is easily one of the best concealed carry pistols you can get. It’s small and packs ten rounds of 9mm in a flush-fitting magazine. The SIG P365 is out of the box, an awesome option for a ton of different applications, and doesn’t need to upgrade, but man, a few different upgrades can take the weapon to an entirely new level. Just make sure the upgrades make sense. Lots of folks like to tinker just because tinkering is fun, but for a defensive firearm, it needs to make sense.
