I did not have high-hopes when I first received the Rattlesnake Tactical 34-round Glock magazines from AmmunitionDepot.

First, they were 100% polymer 34 round magazines for Glocks.

Second, they are less than $10 each.

Despite my concerns I took them to the range to test them out and… they ran flawlessly in my Glock 45!

I was wrong – these magazines are running great and are an incredible value!!!

Specs of the 34 Round Glock Mag

The magazine is 100% impact resistant polymer – except for the spring, there’s no metal anywhere in the magazine (this means that the feed-lips are polymer, too).

Despite what you might expect for the price (well under $10), the magazine is 100% made in the USA.

Rattlesnake Tactical Glock Magazine Review

As I mentioned above, I did not have high hopes for this magazine. After all, what would you expect from an all-plastic 34-round Glock magazine that retails for less than $10?

My biggest concern was the plastic feed-lips on the magazine. We all know that polymer body magazines work well (see Magpul), however, with polymer feed-lips instead of steel inserts, I was worried about the reliability.

I took them to the range and started with two 34-round mag dumps out of each of the two magazines I was sent. Both were perfect!

I realized that I might be wrong about them.

After all, I just noted that Magpul magazines work exceptionally well and I realized that they, too, have polymer feed-lips so, maybe they’re on to something?

I’ve shot a few hundred rounds total out of these magazines and I still have yet to have a malfunction out of my Glock 45 with them.

They’re so reliable they’re kinda’ boring.

I was wrong about what to expect – these things are great.

Now, I am NOT trying to say that these are the best magazines on the market. In my opinion, the best magazines for your Glock are made by Glock.

However, if you’re looking for some range-time fun with extended magazines for your Glock and you’re looking to save some money, these budget options have been performing very well for me.

In fact, at the price (well less than $10 each), they’re a no-brainer for “just for fun magazines.” I am NOT suggesting that these be used for professional use nor where you might need them for defensive purposes.

My Final Thoughts

The Rattlesnake Tactical Magazines are so inexpensive that I don’t understand how they can be made in the USA. And, the best part, they’ve been working flawlessly for me so far.

However, they are not what I’d consider professional/duty grade – these are range-time fun magazines that are so inexpensive, you might as well add a few to your cart while you’re buying ammo online at Ammunition Depot.
