Gunzilla CLP Review

Gunzilla CLP (cleaner, lubricant, and preservative), is a non-toxic oil and I find that it works surprisingly well to clean and protect my firearms. I also like that it doesn’t have a strong chemical smell while I’m using this oil which can happen with some other options on the market.

This is a plant-based cleaner and it works well for light cleaning tasks and the film it leaves behind is a good rust preventative.

Just a note I have found that if you leave this for a long time it can get a bit sticky, it’s loses some points for this if you’re planning on having some long time storage.

  1. I used this stuff exclusively for the last 10 years. Unforunately I haven’t been shooting the last three. Pulled some of my guns out to clean and prep for a shooting weekend and found them all gummed up with brown, sticky goo. This stuff is good if you clean and relube often. Never store a gun with it though as they will develop this goo all over them and be a nightmare to clean up.
