Review of Bushnell Fusion X 10x42mm

I really liked the design of the Bushnell Fusion X 10x42mm, it came in black color in a matte finish and the design was minimal. It was large but not heavy I’d say. I personally didn’t feel any discomfort carrying these binos all day around. These binos were really sturdy. I felt like they could handle anything mother nature threw at them. Later I found out that these bad boys have a composite frame construction which makes them really strong.

The Bushnell Fusion X 10x42mm comes with a large featherlight bino case to keep the binos safe and, most importantly, it helped me travel and climb. The case is a bit fragile though, so you can’t put it through extreme wear and tear.

I had the chance to play around with the center focus and it was really cool. First off, it allowed me to easily adjust the clarity of the image. It was simple. All I had to do was turn the wheel and I could bring distant objects into sharp focus in a second.

I also loved the twist-up eyecups. It was comfortable, and I was able to adjust it to different positions. As someone who wears glasses, I had to keep them twisted up when I didn’t wear my glasses so that I could get the perfect eye relief. And if I’m wearing glasses, I simply twist them down. This just really helped me to reduce eyestrain and improve the overall viewing experience.

Optical clarity of the Bushnell Fusion X 10x42mm has been exceptional. The HDOS (high definition optical system) gave me bright backgrounds and superb light transmission during my hunts at different light conditions. The individual focus for each lens is a standout feature for me. It allowed me to make quick adjustments that stayed in place even when I had to remove the lens covers repeatedly.

Compared to other big-name rangefinder binoculars, these Bushnell binoculars surprised me with their optimum viewing clarity, and most definitely did exceed my expectations. Extra points for the brightness levels of the Bushnell Fusion X 10x42mm. They easily match the levels of top competitors like Vortex Fury 5000 HD and Sig Sauer Kilo 3000BD at a fraction of their price. Now that’s a killer deal for me.

As a hunter, range-finding accuracy is a big deal and the Bushnell Fusion X 10x42mm delivered, no questions about it. To be honest, it had a deadly accurate ranging system. I could view the target, get the distance, and immediately take my shots. I didn’t have to waste any time. These binos also made long-range shooting super easy for me with their angle range compensation and rifle ballistic modes.

The ActiveSync display technology is a game-changer. It helped me get the true distance that I needed for my shoot. Whether it’s uphill or downhill, it just gave me the adjusted true distance for me to take out the perfect shot. The black display gave me all-day visibility, and the option to switch to red for low-light conditions was indeed a blessing for my hunts at dusk. In short, the ActiveSync display just gave me a 10/10 user experience.

I think the Bushnell Fusion X 10x42mm is fairly priced. It’s not too expensive, but man, I can confidently say that it delivers value. Every penny I spent on it was worth it for the performance that I received in exchange. The only downside to these binos is their size. Like I said, it’s not heavy, but it does occupy space. However, the benefits in terms of optics and ranging accuracy outweigh the size concern for me.

Bushnell Fusion X 10x42mm Pros and Cons

  • Range finding capability
  • Rifle and bow modes
  • Auto adjusting reticle for bright or low light
  • Lower glass quality
